May Term at NB
May Term for North Butler Jr./Sr. High students took place May 21-June 1. During this two week term, students in grades 7-11 participated in passion-based courses. Some of the options included: Adulting 101, Historical Sites in Iowa, Auto Restoration, The Bearcat Shop, Interior Design, and Sports Statistics. The courses allowed for an in-depth exploration of areas beyond what our traditional courses and schedules allow. This hands-on term provided students with opportunity to grow and learn in a non-traditional way. It was an exciting way to end the year for both students and teachers. Feedback on May Term was positive, and we plan to offer this again with a few changes next year.
